Word Study 101

The purpose of this section is to provide the reader with a basic introduction to the art and methodology of Biblical word study.  Word study is unlike many of the other study methods you may have encountered.  It’s not the only,  or even always the best, way to study your Bible; however, without a serious examination of the words the Scriptural authors use, it’s easy to be misled.  This is true for the simple reason that “it may not mean what you think it means.”

So have a look at the following articles, and think about how you might incorporate the discipline of careful word study into the broader practice of “rightly dividing the word of truth.”  You may be surprised, shocked, even shaken, but you’ll invariably find riches you didn’t know existed!  Blessings on the quest!
